Thanks - I read the review first. Of course Romy's a gasbag, but we all know that! 
Jean Hiraga was my audio mentor 20 years ago. I was very lucky. He builds the best sounding systems I've ever heard, hands down. One of them is my avatar.
I have not heard his new system with the 604, but have spoken to him about it. He says it's one of the best he's ever done.
But Hiraga's stuff can be an acquired taste. If you love "Hi-Fi", you may not like his designs. They don't sound like speakers. What they do sound like is real, live music.

The cat sure is an interesting character....
His rants are fun to read but I don?t put much stock in an internet blowhard ripping on a designer like Hiraga.

He?s actually got some really cool equipment if I remember correctly. Strange guy though, kind of a want to be audio mystic with an out of control antisocial streak.
